Here are some more of Jimmy's humorous expressions (For the first post in this vein, click here):Gonosyphillaids: The term speaks for itself. Jimmy would use this as a catch-all for any kind of ailment, including the mere possibility of transmittal.
Got dental: Short for "do you have dental insurance?" This was a humorous way of threatening to knock out someone's teeth.
I've been to the real desert: This summed up Jimmy's attitude toward Burning Man. He didn't like my attending the event, nor his sisters for that matter.
Murse: A man purse, which in Jimmy's case was the messenger bag he always carried around.
Muskokee: That was Jimmy's pronunciation of the suburb I grew up in, Skokie.
Oh-wi-oh-wah: Any state in the midwest. (Variation: Oh-hi-oh-wah)
Shmug: This borders on inappropriate, so let me qualify by saying the intention was always humorous. The first time I'd used the Yiddish slang word "shvug" in talking to Jimmy, he asked, "What's a shmug?" I answered, "that's the new word for shvug."
