Jimmy's family as well as all of his friends remember him as always fixing or building things, and not just for his employer, but for everybody. Just looking around my apartment it seems like half of my belongings have had repairs done by Jimmy. In fact, my last couple hours spent with Jimmy included his fixing my closet. He also single-handedly moved me in and out of almost half a dozen apartments, half of those occasions involving moving me into a place with him.
Visit his dad's house and you'll see the fruits of Jimmy's construction work, although everyone seems to have varying recollections about how much of the home was built by Jimmy.
The irony of Jimmy's construction work was best put by one of his close friends at work, who hired Jimmy to help build a fence.
Apparently, Jimmy arrived an hour and a half late to help build the fence, although once the work got done it was good. This friend remembers how they joked among themselves through the entire project so time flew quickly.
