Like Twins

Hearing Jimmy's oldest sister Cathy talk about their relationship as siblings, it struck me that they were so close they were more like fraternal twins than an older and younger.

The best example isn't the happiest one, but rather the most vivid: the way Cathy felt Jimmy's passing the moment it happened sounded like what I've heard about how twins can sense when something goes awry with one of the pair.

At the exact time he died, she felt like she'd gotten kicked in the stomach. Sure, I also had sensed Jimmy at the moment of his death but it was much more of a mental state of mind than the visceral experience Cathy had.
