Babies, Pets and Seniors Were Most Dear to Jimmy

Jimmy used to say that he had the most respect of all for senior citizens, babies and animals.

So I have a fond memory of how Jimmy went out of his way to talk on the phone with my mother when she was terminally ill.

And he talked about that conversation so many times afterward it really touched me profoundly.

He took that same kind of attitude toward my pets. One time, Jimmy rescued my late cat Buddy (that's him in the picture to the right) after he'd fallen into a ditch while roaming near the apartment we shared. This kind of thing was simply in Jimmy's nature.
